ROLE of the POSITION

Las Vegas is one of the nation’s most competitive markets for sports and entertainment. With the introduction of multiple professional franchises, there is a greater need for compelling, innovative, and unique in-game experiences and atmosphere to enhance the fan experience, retain season ticket holders, and entice prospective fans to attend games. Improved fan experiences at athletics events impacts ticket sales revenue as well as the visibility and affinity for athletics programs.

This position exists to lead game presentation for various sports, which includes preparing scripts, coordinating game day elements, directing gameday ops/production staff, creating innovative and engaging in-game activations and entertainment, and strategically using games as an opportunity to market programs and initiatives.

Additionally, this position is responsible for increasing the overall visibility, attendance, and ticket sales of assigned sports.

With a small marketing staff in one of the country’s most competitive markets, this position is also charged with developing a strong, structured internship program in order to effectively execute department initiatives and game day activities. In addition to creating an internship program to help execute department initiatives and activations, this position will be responsible for creating a student internship program that promotes educational and professional development opportunities for interns.

This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, this position will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance, prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in addition to athletics or event presentation experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
